About Us:

Emmanuel Lutheran Church is a small congregation located in the rural community of Bittinger, midway between Grantsville, Maryland (I-68), and Deep Creek Lake. The church is one-half mile off Maryland Route 495. The current worship sanctuary was constructed in 2000 and can seat a maximum of 250 people.  Adjoining the sanctuary is a fellowship hall, offices, and classroom space. The church and fellowship hall are fully accessible. Emmanuel is part of the West Virginia – Western Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
